The end of phase 1 is near! I’m not sure if I’m more nervous or excited to start phase 2 considering that I’m finally becoming noticeably stronger with the exercises in Phase 1. But, that’s kind of the point behind the P90X workouts–muscle confusion in order to ensure continued progress. I have a feeling there will be all kinds of new soreness next week.
My last yoga session a few days ago was a lot stronger than the previous one (I’ve only managed one other yoga workout due to all the days of rest I had to take from being too sore). Today was another Total Body Workout…and the dog decided to leave me alone (for the most part) this time. Initially, I thought I would hate the Total Body Workout since a lot of it requires upper body strength which I lack tremendously. But, the pull-ups are really the only exercises I can’t complete without modifying or using assistance (I used to be able to do 10 pull-ups easily when I was in elementary school, and I can remember being anxious to share my “score” with the rest of the class after our PT test. Now, I can’t even do one. Hopefully, P90X will change that!).
